B is for Blossom

Buds swelling,
Little leaves unfurling.
Blossoms blooming,
pops of yellow and green on brown
contrasting the swirling snow.
Vase on my window sill
The promise of spring through this last bit of winter.

This one has been swirling around in my head for awhile, and it's fitting today with our snow. Even though the forsythia branch on my desk is just about done.

What a lovely poem. Makes me even more anxious for spring to finally get here.

Glad you decided to do the A-Z again, Claire! :)

Awww, the promise of spring. It's trying to snow here, too. But spring is trying really hard....

Very nice, especially since I live in Seattle and we won't really see spring for another 6 weeks.

Spring definitely is inspiration for poetry. I think the one poem I've written in the last 10 years was about spring.

Hope you're enjoying the A to Z Challenge! I'm blogging about Ifluential Women Authors: A Girl and her Diary
