X is for Xenomorphic

Shape not defined
Water flowing over rocks
Tumbling twirling misting
Falling into pools and ponds

Light warming trees
Glowing growing
Bathing the world in color

Energy driving toddler
Little legs pumping in exploration
Running roaming starting stopping.
Squat down to poke
At leaf trembling on ground
Next to puddle of water.

Crinkle splash.

Had no idea what to write today so I googled words that start with X.

xenomorphic: having a form not its own via http://phrontistery.info/x.html

Wow, I just love the poem based on that word, especially the line "little legs pumping". What a picture.

I'm with Clarissa, those "little legs pumping" yanked me right in. Lovely poem, and what a great word xenomorphic is.
