2 year novel class: I'm attempting regular writing

http://zette.blogspot.com/2013/12/sign-up-for-2014-two-year-novel-course.html

Sharing and posting on my phone while toddler watches her Abby. I really miss writing and am going to give Zett's 2 year class another shot. The layout of the course is good, I just have trouble sticking to regular writing.

So wish me luck, and check it out if anyone else is interested.

Googe Earth novel planning

I used to play around with Google Earth awhile back on my computer. Then yesterday I decided to try it out again, this time on my phone. I had been on Google maps and noticed a link to Earth.

As I was scrolling though the Earth I started getting setting ideas for my NaNoWriMo novel idea. Which got me looking more at the app for further ideas. Its like my muse is globe trotting.

A benefit of my phone over the computer is the touch screen. But also the ease of sharing is nice. I've sent a few "shares" from the app to my secret Pinterest novel board. The app allows for saving an image at the current pan / zoom level.

On any platform there are the links to Wikipedia. Thoes can be read and bookmarked as needed.

Playing with pictures

I've found it frustrating to use blogger from my Android phone with doing more than one picture.  Not that I blog tons of images,  but there are times I want a few pictures posted. Especially for my app related posts.

So after a recent app update I thought I'd give this another try. Turns out that I can add more than one image. But it's separate from the text editor. Unlike the wordpress app which lets me choose where I want to have each image within a post.

Here are two pictures from my newest app from the Google play store. Magic Kalideo.

Z is for Zoo

Sights sounds
and of course smells.
Drifting around on a warm spring day.

People milling about, faces pressed against glass
Dark shadows glide by.
"Otter mommy" squeals one girl.
"I see him" another child cries.

Even smaller ones wander about.
Toddler hands waving at wobbling water.

_
We took my 15 month old to the zoo the weekend before last. She watched some of the animals but was more interested in everything else going on around her. Our zoo is pretty cool with some of the water stuff that you can see from below the water level in indoor viewing areas. http://www.senecaparkzoo.org/

Y is for Yarn

The cat finds a string
winding around legs
feet tripping

Sweater knitting
sleeves growing
Colors within pattern

A story told
he met her
she liked him

Growing old together
becoming young again
tales wild and strange

__
Yes, catch up time for the two last posts for A to Z. Last week got busy, so here they are.

X is for Xenomorphic

Shape not defined
Water flowing over rocks
Tumbling twirling misting
Falling into pools and ponds

Light warming trees
Glowing growing
Bathing the world in color

Energy driving toddler
Little legs pumping in exploration
Running roaming starting stopping.
Squat down to poke
At leaf trembling on ground
Next to puddle of water.

Crinkle splash.

_
Had no idea what to write today so I googled words that start with X.

xenomorphic: having a form not its own via http://phrontistery.info/x.html

W is for Writing

A sign once said:
"Dance is the only art
In which we are the media"

True as that may be
Any art has self as main force.
Like writing.

The writer uses words
Words from the soul
Words from our core
Poured onto the page
Crafted yes.
But thought out. Planned. Revised.
Still us.

V is for Vow

I vow to you daughter of mine
To be there in good times and tough times
When you are well, and when you are sick.
When you are giggling happily with glee
When your face is scrunched with tears
When we are awake during the day
When you need me during the depths of night
I make this promise to you, daughter of mine
I know your needs will be many
And I will have to arrange around them wants of mine
But joy and love you bring
Daughter of mine
In the deapths of the night
In the light of day
Your many moods, our many joys
Growing changing,
Excited in your new skills.

Adults make vows to each other, but what about to a baby, a totally dependent human being? That got me thinking about writing something like this.

U is for Understanding

New knowledge?
Facts that have been learned
Facts remembered
Points of data previously not known
Rote recall

A challenge occurs
Facts not remembered
Lesson not learned

Another challenge
Facts put to use
In a different way even
Knowledge becomes understanding

-

Ya, random poem of random.

T is for Time

Second hand on the clock
Ticking back and forth, back and forth
never moving forward.
Passage of time stalled
A moment paused
Plastic plant, never changing
Always green
Leaves always lifted
A moment waiting
